User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060107 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060107 Firefox/1.5.0.1 I had earlier installed Firefox 01-06-05 1.5.0.1 Build at Peter(6)'s Request to see if it would Crash, And It Did not. I Installed today's build, 01-07-05 Firefox 1.5.0.1 Build, And This Build Crashes in Yahoo Mail Beta. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enter Yahoo! Mail Beta 2. 3. Actual Results: just use Yahoo! Mail Beta using Firefox 01-07-05 1.5.0.1 Expected Results: Immediate Crash w/ Talkback enabled. No Hard Crash. Normal Mail Operations.
Had earlier filed Bug # 322364 - Crash in Firefox 1.5 Mac Night Branch Build. using Yahoo! Mail Beta. Note: This is a NEW BUG / Regression using Firefox 01-07-05 1.5.0.1 Mac Build.
Depends on: 322364
Version: unspecified → 1.5 Branch
Can you post your talkback id's? I tried this on win32 numerous times on build 2006-01-07-05-mozilla1.8.0 and *cannot* reproduce. Was hoping it would since bug 322480 is currently a big issue for 1.6a win32 trunk. Hopefully it's all related.

Ray, can you produce a few more crash talkbacks ?
Upon re-installing Mac Firefox 1.5.0.1 01-07-05, I am unable to get this Build to Crash AGAIN In Yahoo! Mail Beta. I've Loaded Yahoo! Mail Beta 10 times and I Can't repeat it. Don't know what Caused the initial crash. I have installed 01-08-05 Mac Firefox 1.5.0.1 And I can't get this build to Crash In Yahoo! Mail Beta either....
bad luck maybe. I'll close this bug. If it happens again feel free to reopen.

At The Request of Mr. Yosho, I Fully Opened Six (6) Tabs with Yahoo! Mail Beta, All opened, abeit slowly, but all fully opened WITHOUT ANY CRASHES. Using Today's Build (01-08-05 - Mac Firefox 1.5.0.1) Hopefully, The Prior Crash (Bug 322722) was just a fluke, As I feel that this New Test confirms stablility with Yahoo! Mail Beta and 01-08-05 1.5.0.1.
The trunk and 1.8 branch had regression bug 322683 from bug 317380, but bug 317380 was never checked into the 1.8.0 branch so can't be the cause here. Once recent talkback reported (on IRC) was TB13885854K which has a bit of a different stack js_SetClassPrototype [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/js/src/jsobj.c, line 3931] XPCNativeWrapper::AttachNewConstructorObject [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/js/src/xpconnect/src/XPCNativeWrapper.cpp, line 1316] nsXPConnect::InitClasses [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/js/src/xpconnect/src/nsXPConnect.cpp, line 451] nsXPConnect::InitClassesWithNewWrappedGlobal [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/js/src/xpconnect/src/nsXPConnect.cpp, line 507] nsGlobalWindow::SetNewDocument [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/dom/src/base/nsGlobalWindow.cpp, line 1060] nsGlobalWindow::SetNewDocument [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/dom/src/base/nsGlobalWindow.cpp, line 809] DocumentViewerImpl::Init [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/layout/base/nsDocumentViewer.cpp, line 633] nsDocShell::Embed [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/docshell/base/nsDocShell.cpp, line 4560] nsDocShell::CreateContentViewer [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/docshell/base/nsDocShell.cpp, line 5675] nsDSURIContentListener::DoContent [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/docshell/base/nsDSURIContentListener.cpp, line 131] nsDocumentOpenInfo::TryContentListener [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/uriloader/base/nsURILoader.cpp, line 776] nsDocumentOpenInfo::DispatchContent [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/uriloader/base/nsURILoader.cpp, line 500] nsDocumentOpenInfo::OnStartRequest [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/uriloader/base/nsURILoader.cpp, line 345] nsInputStreamChannel::OnStartRequest [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/netwerk/base/src/nsInputStreamChannel.cpp, line 359] nsOutputStreamReadyEvent::EventHandler [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/xpcom/io/nsStreamUtils.cpp, line 120] 0x778b0c24 nsHTMLFormElement::GetPositionInGroup [c:/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8.0/WINNT_5.2_Depend/mozilla/content/html/content/src/nsHTMLFormElement.cpp, line 1548] 0x20982ddc

Yeah, that's not the stack from bug 322683.... Brendan, do we have known bugs that look like that? It looks like someone not protecting something from GC...
Here are the talkbacks: TB13885854K and TB13887568X TB13887504H (this one is different than mentioned in comment #9) Very random. If it doesn't happen in 5-6 tries, try opening in 3-4 tabs at the same time... and if that doesn't work, maybe try resizing a little while loading page. This has happened when loading under normal use, but this is the best way for force a crash. Note from TB that this is build 2006011204 (not 20060107 as opened)
TB13885854K bug 307317 TB13887568X bug 307317 TB13887504H this bug? Is this bug really WFM? /be
(In reply to comment #12) > TB13887504H this bug? > Is this bug really WFM? TB13887504H happened while trying to reproduce this bug. I have never seen it before or again since. I don't have permission to change from WFM. dveditz suggested we reuse this case.
sorry, I thought I had reopened it last night. Seemed better to lump these reports together than to open dupes since it's a hit-n-miss problem.

(In reply to comment #12) > TB13885854K bug 307317 > TB13887568X bug 307317 The assertion by JConley is that this crash didn't happen in 1.5, and the original reporter thinks it regressed between Jan 6 and Jan 7 (though I'm not at all sure it's the same problem). That doesn't sounds like bug 307317 which was not fixed in 1.5 But it's not been very reproducable. Maybe something else made the bug 307317 problem more likely in 1.5.0.1
Can't reliably reproduce so no tested fix -- too late for 1.8.0.1. Hopefully we can figure it out for 1.8.0.2

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060310 Firefox/1.5.0.2 Bug does not appear to exist. In fact, I've used several nightlies over the last month and have yet to see Yahoo Mail fail.
Sounds like a worksforme.
