Did you remove the previous firefox before untarring the new one?

No, I mv'ed it to /usr/local/firefox1.0
However, I did not do anything to ~/.mozilla.

In other words, I should remove /usr/local/firefox-installer?

Removed directory /usr/local/firefox-installer. Same error but did get kicked to feedback agent for firefox 15. Sent info with reference to this bug.

Cannot get to feedback agent again. Was able to only once and cannot find the agent number using search. Is this number saved on disk somewhere?
If you search feedback agent with "gdkdrawable-x11.c" and firefox15 and IntelLinux there are a bunch of traces, some seem to match my problem.
I will keep trying.

This is not my talkback; I was having my grief at the end of Jan this one dated 2-10-06. Sounds like the same bug, tho but my system is redhat 8.0 version 2.4.20-20.8
