Calendar event dialog shows date items formatted as YYYY-MM-YYYY. It is thus impossible to alter the date of an event as an invalid date error is returned.

This is using Mozilla Calendar 2006010605-cal extension on Firefox with Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

I have found the same bug in Lightning xpi from 2006-01-21-07 for Windows using Thunderbird 1.5rc2.

Altering the date format in the config doesn't seem to affect this date entry box. I could not find any other relevant date format options in about:config
I will attach a screenshot of the dialog box.
This bug sounds like bug 306401. Are you sure you are using '-' as the date separator? That bug only occurred when '/' was the separator. See workaround in bug 306401 comment 4.

That bug was fixed by patch to bug 307895, which was checked into the trunk but not the 1.8 branch from which FF/TB 1.5 are built. So another workaround might be to use a trunk build, or use sunbird (which is currently built from trunk/1.9).

Since image shows '/' separator, changing bug title, and marking duplicate.

old title: Event dialog uses YYYY-MM-YYYY format
new title: Event dialog uses YYYY/MM/YYYY format
