After doing fifteen or so internet search entries using Google search engine in Firefox 1.5, there is a freeze when attempting to enter text in the search bar, i.e. I'm unable to type in an entry. I'm running
OS 10.4 (Tiger).

in dialogue box, when I begin to type search word, a list of words beginning with the same letter appears below dialogue box.  If I keep typing new word, it freezes EVERY TIME. Then I have to select quit several times and force quit several times before I can get Firefox to quit.  
Launching: Every time I open up Firefox to  begin a session, the intro page reappears EVERYTIME.
I want the older version back. *%#@#*&#@$#*!!!!!!!
