User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20060110 Debian/1.5.dfsg-4 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20060110 Debian/1.5.dfsg-4 Firefox/1.5
When printing web pages, firefox sometimes gets confused about the paper sizes, especially if there are printers with different sets of available paper sizes. (Some printers call A4 "A4", while others call it "iso-a4").
Firefox then runs into a state where particular (not all) printers become completely unavailable. When trying to print, firefox allwas complains
"There was a problem printing because the paper size you specified is not supported by your printer".
removing all "print.*" entries from prefs.js removes the problem, but as soon as one printer was used, all printers with other paper formats become unavailable.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have Xprint and printers with different paper size names (iso-a4 and A4). Use e.g. cups-pdf for A4.
2. print to a printer with one name (e.g. A4)
3. try to print to a printer with different paper size name (iso-a4)

As far as I could see, 144625 was speaking about picking correct defaults; I didn't see it mention printers rendered unusable. I don't think this is a dupe.

Not a dupe. This is about the printing dialogs getting confused.

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
