Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 When trying to access the DOM through javascript, the resolution that is returned is correct to the resolution that firefox was opened with. If you change the resolution after you opened firefox, and are trying to view your page again, it does not update the screen resolution. You must restart Firefox before it will update. This however works in IE. I was trying to design a multiple resolution file that would load separate pages, but wouldn't work for firefox because of the way it was reading the file. Most people will not notice, but designers will when changing back and forth from resolution to resolution for testing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a HTML document, and using Javascript, use basic alert(window.screen.width) 2. open firefox, and it will alert you with current resolution. 3. Resize resolution smaller or larger... 4. Refresh page. It stays at old resolution. Must restart firefox for it to update. This works in IE though. Actual Results: the resolution read the same as the resolution that was set when firefox was opened. Expected Results: It should have returned a new reading based on the current resolution of the screen.
