After marking all the messages for a news group as read I can close the account (hitting the minus sign) go back to my email account. Then when I go back to my news account (hitting the plus sign) the news group will show an incorrect count of messages.

When I click on the actual news group the count is corrected. What's really strange is that the (incorrect) count number given seems to be the unread message count from the first day the account was setup.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open news group (click the +)
2. Mark news group as read
3. Close news group (click the -)
4. Click on mail account
5. Open news group (click the +)

Actual Results:  
News group count shows incorrect unread message count. After clicking on the actual news group the correct unread message count is shown.

Expected Results:  
Correct unread message count displayed.

I'm having this issue with all my nntp accounts. Most often I connect to:
news.eclipse.org & news.gmane.org (netbeans)
