It would be very useful for roaming if the cache was not stored in the profile directory.  I'd think this is known, but I can't find it anywhere.  Sorry if this is a dupe.

Reasoning:
1) Using a network store for profile gets in to trouble if a product is loaded but the network goes down.  Windows complains about offline files, user is confused, etc.
2) Running from a memory stick, it would be nice to use the local HD for the profile. That would keep transfers to the stick lower.

I know that bug 301123 is about the same issue, but it is specific to the installer.  I'd think that something post-installation in Options would be good, at least in FF.  

Hope I am vaguely the correct component here.
