User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7 When forwarding an email with inline graphics with Thunderbird version 1.5 (2005-12-01), the recipient receives an email with missing graphics. If I send to reply and substitute the desired recipients, they do receive the inline graphics. This works as a runaround, but this bug needs to be fixed. I found a message from someone else who experienced this problem with the same Thunderbird version at this link: http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?p=279002 Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a received email which has inline graphics 2.Forward to accessable email address 3.Open forwarded email Actual Results: When opening the forwarded email, the graphics doesn't show, only empty frames Expected Results: The software should have allowed the graphics to show(like it does when replying to a message) I am using the default Thunderbird theme
Duplicate of bug 315625?
I can confirm this big bad bug myself. My wife is always forwarding messages containing funny pictures, etc to her friends and they are always coming back and telling her that the images are not there. I can reliably reproduce this bug everytime myself as well. - Create an HTML message and place an image inline - Send that image to an accessible email address - Open the email and forward it back to yourself inline!! - Open the forwarded email and the image will not be there!!! Please fix this problem ASAP, it is a MAJOR bug. How many people out there don't like to forward funny images to all of their friends?!?! Now very many I would suspect. I am having a hard time telling my wife all of the time that she cannot forward these funny emails to her friends and telling her how to do some of the work arounds such as the "reply" work around are NOT an option. Looking forward to a FIX ASAP!!! Thanks, Gord
I believe comment 1 is correct, this is a dupe. That bug has been fixed; the fix will be part of 1.5.0.2 when it gets released (sometime soon), and you can get a nightly build of this branch at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8.0/ Note that this version will have a few other fixes, but it might have other new bugs that are still in the process of getting fixed or even yet to be discovered. Reporter (jang): if you get a nightly build and find that your bug is not in fact fixed, feel free to reopen this. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 315625 ***

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou... I just downloaded and installed the nightly build for March 10th and so far I cannot reproduce this bug. Also, so far everything else appears to be working fine. My wife thanks you too! Gord (In reply to comment #3) > I believe comment 1 is correct, this is a dupe.
