User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Windows: When you have Firefox open, log into the system with Remote Desktop. There will be a space between the menu bar and the top of the window. It remains when logging in physically at the computer. This is reproducable every time. The remote desktop connection is at a different resolution. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Log in with Remote Desktop 3. Resolution may have to change Actual Results: Space appears between menu and title bar Expected Results: No space Resolution change does not cause the issue
I think this is the same bug that I see (see attachment 'browser_space.jpg') of a print-screen of this page), but with normal PC login, and the space doesn't appear immediately. I've not yet managed to catch it happening (is it a particular site I visit?). When the space appears, I sometimes notice two other effects: - when highlighting bookmark entries with the mouse, the blue highlight bar flickers - the web page extends unaccessibily beyond the right edge of the browser window

Is there any plan to fix this bug? It's really annoying for anyone who is using remote desktop on a daily basis and makes the otherwise excellent browser almost unusable (thank god for the Tab Mix Plus extension with its session saver, which makes restarting much easier). I can confirm both symptoms, reproducible always after a remote desktop connection: 1. the space between the titlebar and menubar (not so much of a problem) 2. the width issue, where the browser is locked to a certain width, and if you make it smaller, the vertical scrollbar, as well as everything on the right edge of the toolbar, will disappear. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.2 Thanks, Rado
I also confirm this bug. Bug #343132 is also related to this bug.

duplicate of bug 316858?
Just to add more info, this bug is still there in Firefox 2, and it doesn't happen only when using Remote Desktop, but also when using "Fast User Switching" (i.e. 2 users logged in to the computer at the same time and switching between their accounts without logging out)
Do you see this with the newer RDP? Remote Desktop Connection (Terminal Services Client 6.0), documented in microsoft KB925876
No response, but this WFM. So => WFM.

I just did a quick test on Vista Business with Firefox 2.0.0.14, using Remote Desktop, and coudln't reproduce this bug anymore - don't know if it's Vista or Firefox, but I guess it might have been resolved in the meantime.
