This is a request for an enhancement.  I have been asked to forward a mailing list as an attachment to an e-mail message, but that does not seem to be an option.  I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5 (20051201).

as a work around, if I understand your problem correctly, you can save the mailing list as an ldif file, send that, and have the recipient import the list from the ldif file.

it seems that one can now export a mailing list as a csv file, however when importing, there is no option to import as a list. One can import as a address book, but then transforming into a list is tedious, as one cannot highlight all addresses and then have a button "add to a new list".
