For example, if I go to submit a bug report for Thunderbird, the lists include many Mozilla Suite bugs that are not MailNews. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: If the lists were correctly restricted to the product for which the user is about to submit a new bug, it would be easier to search those lists. This would help reduce the number of redudant "Duplicate" bugs. As a workaround, I ignore those lists. Instead, I do an advanced search on the product -- and usually a select set of components -- for terms I would expect in the summary if the bug I am reporting already exists.
This was intentional because there are often bugs in those products which do affect Firefox and Thunderbird. Filing bugs in either of those products adds in a few other related products into the reports which share back-end components.
