The inbox, deleted, sent, drafts folders that run along the left side of my screen seem to have magically disappeared and I can't find them again even when I delete and reinstall thunderbird. I have contacted my ISP and they tried to help me. They are perplexed as well. They suggested contacting you so here I am. I hope someone will email me back.

Typically this happens when the splitter separating the folder pane from the other panes is dragged all the way to the left, collapsing the folder pane entirely. When this happens, you have to hover the mouse cursor over the splitter (which is usually flush up against the left edge of the window) and drag it back to the right.
