Details

This is an extremely common request, but I couldn't find a bug for it.

Basically, it would be nice to be able to give certain individuals (or groups) access to edit only certain products. At first, this would just be access to editproducts, editcomponents, editmilestones, and editversions for that specific product only.
Summary: Ability to give groups access to edit certain products → Ability to give groups access to administer certain products
You can already do that if products are restricted to groups. A user with editcomponents privs can only edit products he is allowed to see.

That's not a very useful implementation to the average user. Being able to see a product and being able to administer it are very different things. In most companies, I'd want people to be able to see the "Bugzilla" product, but I wouldn't want them to be able to administer it.

this is really annoying. I'm tired of glazou and kairo and ... asking me to make changes to their products. we should fix this for 3.0 so bmo can have it.
