Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 If no instances of entered text are found using the Find Toolbar. Firefox generates an error sound. This sound can not be turned off. This sound should not be Firefox-specific. It should reference the proper Windows Program Event, and therefore have the ability to be changed/turned off if desired. There is a reason the "No Sounds" Scheme is chosen. It is because you don't want ANY system sounds. Firefox Find Toolbar should not override this. Very frustrating to be sitting in a classroom or library full of Firefox users and have to constantly listen to that rediculous "Phrase not found" ****. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set MS XP Sound Scheme to "No sounds" 2. Start Firefox 3. / 4. Enter any string not found on web page.
Sure it can be turned off Enter about:config in the URL bar and set "accessibility.typeaheadfind.enablesound" to FALSE
