Master Password prompt displayed twice but password entered on first time is used


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

1) setup free email account if you don't have one already and access it once 
   to save site password
2) launch Firefox
3) go to <http://mail.lycos.com/scripts/common/index.main?signin=1&lang=us>
4) enter userid (from step 1) then press <tab>
5) Master Password prompt is displayed
6) enter Master Password then press <enter>
7) Master Password prompt is displayed a second time
8) press <enter> without entering Master Password
9) site password is filled in based on the first time you entered the
   Master Password



Expected Results:  
The Master password prompt should only be displayed once

What I see: when I enter http://mail.lycos.com/scripts/common/index.main?signin=1&lang=us immediately the Master Password dialog is showed to me. When I fill in the MP and click "Log In" it just logs in. I see the same in the latest trunk.
Please retest in Firefox's safe-mode / with a new profile.

I have the same problem on Windows XP with Firefox 1.5.0.4.
To reproduce, use for example two gmail accounts.

0. Activate master password security
1. Log with the first account and save the password
2. Log with the second accound and save the password
3. Quit firefox
4. Launch firefox and log into gmail with the first account (enter the login and then press tab, the master password will be prompted)
5. Firefox put the password saved for the first account
6. The master password is prompted again...

Note: If you delete one of the two accounts there is no more problem.

The password manager prompt will be shown multiple times for ANY account for which you've saved multiple username/password combinations AND the account uses a standard username/password form, not a 401-style user/pass popup.

Present on all Firefoxes in 1.x and 2.x series.
