The dialog asking to notify sender that the user is reading his/her email is pop-up and steal window focus. Annoying.

This should be display in the main mail window as spam notification or Firefox pop-up blocking notifiction.

No, that doesn't work.  That bar is a notification, not a prompt; a return receipt requires a decision to be made.  Are you aware that you can turn off prompting, to automatically either Never Send or Always Send receipts?

Duplicate of bug 221615, which I personally would like to see implemented very much.

Letting the user choose whether to send receipt on a per message basis, but having him/her make the descision before seeing what the message is about is rather odd IMO.
