Jesse I am not sure what I am seeing here, could you please lift the restrictions on the bug given that I am too paranoid. 

At least what I see is if you load the testcase and leave the browser it does not exit it remains in the task list.

With a debug build I can get it down with CTRL-C in the console. But then we leak everything.

Here is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; zh-CN; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1 and Java Plug-in 1.5.0_06.
Follow the instruction, when I left Firefox, the FF process also exited.

My Java console also have the following info(non-debug build for Jre):

They are normal exception info because the Applet doesn't exist. Propose to unselect the security-sensitive option.

I am talking about trunk, this ahappens with a nightly and a recent debug build (2days old)

We made the script that found this bug public, so there is no sense in hiding it. Seeing comment 3 makes me doubt that it will be fixed anytime soon, its some sort of dejavu for me (bug  189485 + http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6201524).
