Bug 308973 will rename trunk builds to be called "Minefield". Part of this is the addition of the following references:

<!ENTITY  releaseBaseURL        "http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minefield/releases/">

browser.startup.homepage=http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minefield/

URLUpdateInfo=http://www.mozilla.org/projects/minefield/

We'll need those pages to be created. I suggest that the /projects/minefield/releases/* structure just redirect back to /projects/minefield, as we're never actually going to produce a formal release off of trunk (see bug 308973 comment 84 for more details on that).

As for /projects/minefield, it should be in the format of http://www.mozilla.org/projects/bonecho but the text should read:

----
Welcome to the Minefield!

<b>Congratulations!</b> You've downloaded or compiled a "trunk build". This means that you've volunteered to become part of the testing community. Helping out won't take much of your time, doesn't require special skills, and will help make the next version of Mozilla Firefox even better.

<b><font color="red">Warning:</font></b> This is NOT A FINAL OR PRE-RELEASE VERSION. This program is provided without any guarantees of stability, so please use it at your own risk. It is recommended that you back up your profile regularly, as there may be bugs that corrupt your data. If that sounds scary, you'd probably be better off with the latest version of Firefox that you can <a href="http://www.mozilla.com/firefox">download here</a>.
--------

The sidebar should read:
-----------------
Notable changes in Minefield

Trunk builds change every hour of every day. Some of the major changes in these builds that require feedback are

 * Changes to the graphics layer
 * New data storage layer for bookmarks and history (using SQLlite)
 * Extended search plugin format
 * Updates to the extension system to provide enhanced security and to allow for easier localization of extensions
 * Support for SVG text using svg:textPath

To get a list of the most recent additions, check out <a href="http://www.squarefree.com/burningedge/">the Burning Edge weblog</a>.

------

The rest of the page should be s/Bon Echo/Minefield/

Here is the HTML, still need the minefield-title.png file, uploading minefield-icon.png in a second (I guess it uses same icon as the about page).

Good start, Kurt, but you're missing the "How can you help test .." sections, etc. Also, I'm pretty sure that the footer sections come for free with the template system or something. A good way to grab the HTML that needs to be edited would be to go to http://www.mozilla.org/projects/bonecho and click the "Edit this Page" and see the source HTML that's there.

We actually use a transparent PNG here. To start we can just grab the same one as is used for /projects/bonecho, but I'll cc Steve Garrity to see if he can provide a Minefield one for us, too.

Steve: can you spin out a minefield graphic for this page, same size and format as used here: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/deerpark/deerpark-icon.png?

Raf: can you work your magic with this page as you did with the /projects/bonecho page? :)

Accidently forgot the mozilla.org bar and to change the links in the edit document/document history link in the last patch. This should do. Still need the minefield-title.png file

This sould do it. I rechecked the bonecho page and it has the footer code there so its not imported.

This works, or just point to the file that's already on the server like the bon echo pages do

I did it like that so that all we have to do once we get the new image is upload it instead of uploading new pic and changing the code.

This looks right content wise, but I'm passing the review off to dbaron since I'm not 100% sure what's needed for mozilla.org pages

This should be using the template like all the other pages. Look at https://doctor.mozilla.org/?file=mozilla-org/html/projects/bonecho/index.html and see how the bonecho page does it. Don't include the header, footer, etc., as they are added by the template. Again, the bonecho page has the format you need to used.

I've created /projects/minefield/ and redirected /projects/minefield/releases/ to /projects/minefield/.

This should do it. I was using that page as a template but couldnt tell that it was importing that stuff...can't tell looking at it. Thanks for the link to the doctor editior. Can't test it out but I only added/took out the exact stuff that was needed.

Your header is still messed up. Make sure to use only what bonecho actually used, and not something that the template adds. :)

Yea! Finally, a good version. :)

Along with some minor changes in extra lines, I'll commit this now.

heh, Bon Echo is missing bonecho-title.png and Minefield is missing minefield-title.png, but everything seems to look fine without them.

sgarrity: Do we still need these title graphics? If so, any idea when you will have them ready?
I've committed the index.html page and the minefield-icon.png.
I will verify once it reaches stage/production.

Marking this bug as FIXED, even though I don't have the minefield-title.png yet (bonecho seems to look fine without it, so it doesn't seem to be a big deal).

Looks good on production. v.

The minefield-icon.png is just the plain globe, though. Shouldn't it be changed to look like the new "About Firefox" graphic (bug 330533)?

minefield icon with

Here's a versoin of the minefield-icon.png that matches the About dialog graphic.

As for those title graphics - those should be switched to plain text (just use keep 'em in the same header tags).

Ok, done on both Minefield and Bon Echo pages.
The "Join The QA Team" section seems to have lost a link or two since deerpark/ - now it's saying essentially "Mozilla QA has a page dedicated to ways to get involved with helping" but if you can't find it without a link, don't bother.

Can you file a bug on that so we can fix it in both /bonecho and /minefield? Thanks.

The Congratulations! section at the top of the page wraps up with "...and will help make the next version of Mozilla Firefox even better."

At this point in time the "next version" is 1.5.0.2 (or 2.0 depending on how you look at it). May I suggest s/next version/future versions/
