This is an extended problem from bug 28629. That bug was fixed recently, but
when I would launch mozilla, the little splash screen would come up and the
program wouldn't launch. The splash screen would just go away, with no extra
information. So I read that assigning Wingate to treat mozilla.exe specially
would fix the problem. it did partially, but not compeltely. Telling it to
treat it specially now lets me launch the browser, but now I can't browse any
Internet pages. When it launches, it keeps trying to resolve the host. On
netscape 4 and ie5, it automatically recognizes wingate and the wingate box
launches, and starts browsing the web. I cannot do this. Even if I luanch the
old netscape or ie5, to bring up the "Connected to WINGATE..." box, mozilla
doesn't recognize it to browse the web. Also, wingate should not have to be
configured in a different way for mozilla to work. we need to find out where
that problem comes from also.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.install mozilla
2. configure wingate to treat mozilla correctly.
3. launch browser.
Actual Results: couldn't browse the web.
Expected Results: could browse the web, pages would come up.
