QA reports that the current thunderbird builds crash on send mail. http://talkback-public.mozilla.org/search/start.jsp?search=2&type=iid&id=17739955 Maybe a non-UTF-8 string in there or something?
Ever since I updated earlier today I can recieve mail but every time I've tried to send mail it disappears and Thunderbird closes. I cannot use this program for business purposes. I've lost a lot of work today.
I can't reproduce this. Michael, where did you get the build? I checked all of the .dtd and .properties files for non-utf8 and everything looks ok (piped the dtds through "iconv -f utf8 -t iso-8859-1" with no errors, and all of the \uXXXX characters in the properties files are legit. Anyone else have other ideas as to what could be causing this? Could a long translated string be overflowing some fixed buffer?
this is a blocker if we're going to release ga-IE for 1.8.0.5. It's really a dupe of 344710 and vice versa.
