Observed with 3/23/2000 Win32 ja build The default address book names in the left pane of address book: "personal address book" and "collected addresses" should be translated.
These strings come from mailnews.js. I reassinged it to Fergus.

Adding rchen to the cclist. Ray, I believe these strings will have to match strings defined elsewhere, probably in navigator.dtd file. Can you check the translation memory? If the strings are translated, please send them to me.

Hi Fergus, In you file, I only see the translation for ldap_1.directory1.description ldap_2.servers.pab.description but not ldap_2.servers.history.description Kat, don't we need to translate the whole file?

Kat, I took it back.I have to reopen it. It is partially fixed. After I sent some emails the default or autocompleted "collected Addresses" still English." Personal Address book name" is Japanese in the left pane

'Collected Addresses' cannot be translated until we have a fix for 33980. There's a problem with the charset being written to prefs.js.

As I understand, the rule of thumb is to mark the later bug as a dup of earlier one as we have been doing. 34090 should be dup of 33470 since it was filed much later than 33470 in order for consistent comments. If it doesn't matter for the order, please let me know and I will verify it.
That is generally the case, but the other bugs is already marked as [nsbeta2]. We should ride on that bug now -- there is no reason to have to go through PDT process again for this. Please verify this as a duplicate of that one.
