Are you using japanese system? Some of the local folder operation depends on the
system charset. So japanese folder only works under japanese system.
I've noticed it a while ago on my EN system and didn't enter this bug assuming
the same thing, but now i'm getting this result on JA Win NT.

I am using en Win NT 40. On POP account i am creating a new folder with JA name
(using JA IME). Somehow the folder gets created under Template as a subfolder
and has the whole tree under it (Inbox, Sent, Unsent messages...etc)

Local Japanese folder name is only supported on localized Japanese systems.
Please test again with localized Japanese systems.

All, should we support JPN folder on Win9x/NT US??
If we should support it, we should rewrite mailbox name using UTF-7...

It does work on JA OS.The bug was entered for EN OS, should it be still marked
as fixed or wontfix?
Comment 16•25 years ago
|
||
Currently, local folder name support depends on localized system.
Please file a separate bug as a RFE to request non OS dependent local folder
name support.
