User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060426 Firefox/1.5.0.3
Build Identifier: Thunderbird Version 1.5.0.2 (20060308)

When i set thunderbird to wrap lines aufter zero characters (deactivate word wrapping) then there are missing (explicit) newlines within the outgoing message while displayed correctly in the message compose window (Thunderbird Version 1.5.0.2 (20060308))

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set word wrapping to zero chacacters
2. write email with some newline characters

Hello[ENTER]This is a testmail which has an error right here[SPACE][ENTER]this should be in a new line[ENTER]regards....

3. while everthing looks as expected send or save the message
4. open the received or saved message

Actual Results:
Hello
This is a testmail
which has a error right here this should be in a new line
regards....

Expected Results:
Hello
This is a testmail
which has a error right here
this should be in a new line
regards....

At first this bug does not seem to be important, it only becoms a problem when copying larger text from a different editor to thunderbird. Because you cant see the error in the message composer

Workaround: Set wordwrapping to 100000, i think not everyone comes to that solution

btw: i find this whole wrapping thing useless thats why it should be possible to deactivate ... i think today most simple viewers can do this operation when the text is to be viewed

Finally: Thanks for developing Thunderbird and Firefox. Both Programms are great Software, which I use every day. Good work ;-)
It's the trailing space that causes the line to reflow; that's an expected effect of the mail being sent as "format=flowed". (See bug 168420 for information about f=f, including the informative FAQ attached to that bug.)

With wrap=0, the end-of-line spaces are not stripped when the message is prepared for sending, altho they're supposed to be; that's what the dupe is about.
