User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060508 Minefield/3.0a1 Build Identifier: ThunderBird version 1.5 (20051201) when pasted long text, like thousands of characters, the pasted text will be unreadable. It often needed when paste a long URL. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. double click on a long text, like a long URL, to copy it to clipboard; 2. click "Write" on thunderbird toolbar, to compose a mail; 3. click middle button of the mouse to paste the text. The text may not be pasted unless you click middle button several times. Actual Results: the text is unreadable, see the attached screenshot. Expected Results: the text can be read. sometimes it even cause thunderbird crash. I encountered once, but can not reproduce everytime.

Do you have a pointer to a URL that is as long as that? Or a sense of just how long the text needs to be to cause this symptom? I just tried pasting a single "word" of over 6000 characters without a problem.
It is not reproducable any more in trunk build and 1.8 branch build, but still reproducable in thunderbird 1.5 release build (I tested on 1.5.0.5), with a "word" of 6000 characaters.
Version: unspecified → 1.5
=> WFM per reporter's comment 3.
