When sending important e-mail messages. It's sometimes important to know who did see your e-mail and who didn't see it yet, so we can use return receipts.
But if you have to use return receipts regularly to several people. How can we remember who read the mail and who don't?
I think it would be a really great feature, and as far as i know, pretty unique, if thunderbird could show a list of which return receipts are asked to which people and more important which return receipts are received.

Summary: Return receipts status overview → Return receipts (MDN) status overview
Just as a note, Novell Groupware did this back in the mid-90's. I think they had it set up so that you right click a message and brought up a separate window listing who it was sent to, who read it, and who replied.
That was the greatest corporate email system I have used. You could actually use it for meetings on short notice and corporate correspondence that needed a paper trail.

Something similar is being developed within the trustedbird project:

It seems a dupe of bug #367268: Martijn you agree?

Aureliano, for me it looks like separate bugs but probably share most code. As example MDN or DSN isn't available in TB2.
