1. Open Bon Echo (or Minefield).
2. Ensure that only one tab is open.
3. Open Options. Switch off the "hide the tab bar when only one web site is open" preference. Click OK.
A tab is now visible and there is no close button on it.
4. Close this tab.
The tab closes and is replaced by another. The new tab *does* have a close button on it.
Reproducible: Always
