This bug comes thanks to my mom, who I updated to beta1 the other day. Shortly after the update, she complained that search was broken...didn't work at all. Obviously, search did function, but we changed the way the search autocomplete works in 2.0, and it's potentially confusing to users.
Previously, in 1.5., when you clicked on an entry in the autocomplete dropdown in the url bar or the search bar, the browser would automatically load the selected url/search. Now, the URL bar still behaves this way, but the search bar does not-- clicking on a search autocomplete entry does not execute the search.
If nothing else, we should be consistent and make the URL autocomplete work the same way as the search autocomplete.
