It worked in the download of 3-22-00 but not in the (4-5-00) nightly build. This is kind of degradation of the package.

One defect per bug report, please! Deleting 'and browser crashes on closing the preferences window' from summary, since I can't reproduce that anyway. In any case, neither font, nor prefs, nor these lists are XPToolkit, changing component to XPApps (since one of the lists works), reassigning.

Comments from other bug report : scroll doesn't work in comboboxes in Preferences->Appearance->Fonts. I am unable to choose most of the fonts installed on the system. ------- Additional Comments From dark@c2i.net 2000-04-06 06:04 ------- The first time one starts edit/preferences/fonts, the little arrows pointing downwards, that one usually see on dropdown boxes, are now "minuses" till you move the cursor over them. Then they "refresh" and display as arrows. [2000-040520]
The "minuses" as initial dropdown box-arrows in prefs is "fixed" in bug 34801 ("fixed", cause now they're initially displayed when you start - "frame notification for gif frame" was moved. Trouble is they now *vanish* when you click on them. Rest of the problem remains - no content lists in dropdown boxes, only one "empty" line" falls down, as before. Adding comment in 34801

just wondering: could this be the same as bug 34525, where the font droplist broken? (sounds like a dup!) if this is different, could you please clarify the problem you're seeing now (with a recent build, to see if it's still there)? (the summary is rather vague. :-) thx!
Component: XPApps → Preferences
Summary: No drop list in preferenced->fonts → No drop list in preferences->fonts
