User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6
when i open yahoo.com, a notice of "runtime error" with a heading that says Microsoft visual C++, then program: C://program/mozilla/firefox etc. then below that it says i should close down the borswer but before i could do anything firefox automatically closes down
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open the firefox browser
2.go to http://www.yahoo.com either by clicking the yahoo toolbar on my firefox or typing the url into the url box
3.after 3 seconds the runtime error notice pops then
Actual Results:
the firefox broswer closes down
Expected Results:
the browser should stay in the said website and not close down. this does not happen in other wesbites or pages. it does not happen when i open my yahoo mail.
it started when my browser automatically updated to firefox 1.5.05. when it updated to firefox 1.5.0.6, the same thing happens. i was kind of hoping it would be fixed with the newer version. i have updated all my and plug-ins (e.g. adobe reader, flashplayer, etc.) that you have in your plug-in webpage.

Can you install or enabled Talkback and get a Talkback ID for the crash? This will help us debug the problem. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback

bug reporter,
if you have yahoo messenger installed, try the new version 8.1 http://messenger.yahoo.com/ which is reported in bug 322363.
If your problem goes away then close your bug as a duplicate of bug 322363.
