User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 when i open yahoo.com, a notice of "runtime error" with a heading that says Microsoft visual C++, then program: C://program/mozilla/firefox etc. then below that it says i should close down the borswer but before i could do anything firefox automatically closes down Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open the firefox browser 2.go to http://www.yahoo.com either by clicking the yahoo toolbar on my firefox or typing the url into the url box 3.after 3 seconds the runtime error notice pops then Actual Results: the firefox broswer closes down Expected Results: the browser should stay in the said website and not close down. this does not happen in other wesbites or pages. it does not happen when i open my yahoo mail. it started when my browser automatically updated to firefox 1.5.05. when it updated to firefox 1.5.0.6, the same thing happens. i was kind of hoping it would be fixed with the newer version. i have updated all my and plug-ins (e.g. adobe reader, flashplayer, etc.) that you have in your plug-in webpage.

it also happens. it didn't happen before i upgraded to 1.5.0.5
bug reporter, if you have yahoo messenger installed, try the new version 8.1 http://messenger.yahoo.com/ which is reported in bug 322363. If your problem goes away then close your bug as a duplicate of bug 322363.
