Per bug 348047 and bug 348048, Mac OS X 10.5 will make use of 512x512 application icons in some cases. We should add a 512x512 icon to the Camino icon file.

In addition, depending on when Camino 1.1 will be coming out, we should get this in Camino 1.0.x.

Considering that Camino will be completely unusable in those cases until the entire QD-based rendering system is replaced, the fact that the icon would look a little pixelated is the last thing that needs to be considered.  There's no reason for this to block 1.0.anything

I don't know how to add sizes to icons (probably need an app I don't have), but here's a 512x512 version of our logo. Note that this is the "newer" logo that's a bit lighter. I don't have a good version of the older, brighter logo, but I can probably make one up if needed. I'm not sure it'll look good at 512...

Smokey, do you have the app for making the icns file?

Sam and I argued about the bands on the left edge for quite some time.  He convinced me that's the way they've always been, but they are rather noticeable now.

I think we should carefully think about fixing some of these issues  (the logo is trademarked now, so we don't want more than tiny tweaks as changes) that just came to light at larger sizes--but at a point in the future.

sr=smorgan, but I'd really like a version as soon as we could get one with fixes for some of the cosmetic issues like the light bands not actually reaching the edges.
