Deafult Search partner list/order.
primary/secondary search selection behavior
Search codes.
Search Suggests enable/disable for locales where available or not

The searches were OK for FF 1.5. Approval to include in Firefox 1.5 was asked from Bookplus and Huuto.net (from the sites management). Also permission to use the site logos was asked.

The queries work (I went through the test draft) and the respective sites have not complained for the 1.5 inclusion... bear in mind that FF's share in Finland is around a third of internet users, so the possible growth of userbase due to 2.0 could not come as a surprise to anyone.

If you require more details from the fi-team, please ask.

Yahoo should not use suggest for Finland, in contrary to what attachement 236001 says.

It appears to be on and working in Käännöksen tunniste: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fi; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/2006082101 Firefox/2.0b2

helsig returns suggestion "helsigfors"

regarding comment #3, would you mind sending me a contact for those two sites, preferably one who speaks/writes english. what i'm wondering is if they are having a good experience ie getting good traffic from our promotion of their site, if they wouldn't mind putting some kind of download link on their sites?

Like chofmann points out, it works. I'd imagine that's enough (i.e. no other reasons to turn it off).

What comes to bookplus.fi, the guy I was in contact with when 1.1 was closing release was <yrjo.maenpaa at dataclub.fi>. I've sent him a heads-up e-mail.

Huuto.net has changed owners and my old contact's email address has been discontinued. I'll try get in touch with someone else.

I finally got a response from Huuto.net. The approriate contact is Lari Lohikoski (lari.lohikoski at sanoma.fi) who's the same guy I was in contact earlier. Just his email address had changed. I've sent him a "heads up" message.

Also mic, if you sent mail to the bookplus guy before " 8 Sep 10:54:08 +0300 ", please resend. He mentioned that he might have seen "firefox" somewhere in his spam, and suspected (naturally after deletion) that it could've been from you. His preferred address is slightly different from what I gave you earlier: yrjo.maenpaa at bookplus.fi (though the old one seems to work too).

Resolving this bug, please test the searches on a clean profile on a nightly build and VERIFY.
