OS X windows' close buttons are on the left side of windows.
Safari's close buttons are on the left side of tabs.
Shiira's close buttons are on the left side of tabs.
Omniweb's close buttons are on the left side of tabs.
iCab's close buttons are on the left side of tabs.
Camino's close buttons are on the left side of tabs.
Firefox's close buttons are on the right side of tabs.
In Firefox 2.0b1, close buttons were moved to the left side of the tabs, but in 2.0b2, close buttons have been moved back to the right side. To make things more consistent with the OS X interface and with almost every other Mac browser, close buttons should be moved back to the left side of tabs. Also, to make the left side of tabs less crowded, favicons should be moved to the right side of tabs.
Reproducible: Always

I'm pretty sure this a dupe, but I can't find it.

While someone complained about the close buttons when they were moved to the left(in bug 343674), this isn't a dupe of that. In fact, what I'm saying is almost the opposite of what was said in that report.
It would make more sense if close buttons were on the left with the favicons on the right. This would make closing multiple tabs quicker, because it would be closer to more buttons in the window, and because you could keep your mouse in the same place to close a bunch of tabs at once.
Almost every other Mac browser, except for Opera, has the close buttons on the left. Having the close box on the left would put it closer to the menus; the window's close, minimize and zoom buttons; the back, forward, reload and stop buttons; and the most-frequently-used bookmarks.
All of this would mean less mouse movement, and between the screenshot and the mockup I am attaching, it looks like it would be easier to tell which tab is from which site.
Moving the Close-button to the left is bug 349108, don't know if this is worth keeping open for the favicon though.

Any discussion of moving the close to left would likely include talk about what to do with the favicon.

It is not a bug in Firefox but in the theme. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1323/ is the prove.
