User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060729 SeaMonkey/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060729 SeaMonkey/1.0.4 From the initial screen I select Help > Help contents, to go to the "Welcome to SeaMonkey Help". If I click a link such as PluginDoc or Troubleshooting a icon opens at the bottom of the screen for a new browser window, but clicking on it will not access it: The Welcome to SeaMonkey Help Screen has to be minimised to see the opened browser. It also seems that the opening of multiple tabs in the Welcome to SeaMonkey Help screen is not possible by control clicking on the links. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start SeaMonkey and select menu help > help contents 2.Ctrl Click on the troubleshooting link and no new tab opens 3.Select troubleshooting and a new browser window appears at the bottom of the screen. Click on this icon and nothing happens. 4. Minimize the Welsome to SeaMonkey help window and click on the icon. Actual Results: I Can see the troubleshooting screen but its a pain getting there Expected Results: Tab Browsing or opening a new Browser window ontop of SeaMonkey help
So the issue here is that when you open an external link in Help, the browser window is "blocked" by the Help window, right? In SeaMonkey 1.1a et al there's an option to not having the Help window display on top of other windows (bug 216426): If you right-click in the Help content area you'll see a menuitem in the context menu labeled "Always on Top" - unchecking it (it's checked by default) will make the Help window behave as a "regular" window (that you can put behind other seamonkey windows).

Version 1.1 is the development version. I am running 1.0.4 that is the latest release to the pubic. This version does not have the functionality you list above to solve the problem. Are you saying that I will have to wait for verion 1.1 to be released to the general public to solve the problem? >
Technically the only changes that are supposed to be permitted on the SeaMonkey 1.0.x series are a) fixes for security issues b) fixes for new bugs introduced since the previous version (which here I'm counting as being Mozilla 1.7). That said, there's nothing to stop you requesting approval on attachment 216564 [details] [diff] [review] - just don't be surprised if it gets denied.
