Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 After updating the Firefox software and the subsequent browser restart, it would be much nicer if Firefox could re-open all windows and tabs as they were before the restart, essentially as the SessionSaver extension does. I'm sure that such a smooth, non-interruptive update processa could help to encourage users to swiftly adopt security updates. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Choose "Update Firefox" from the Help menu or accept a pop-up dialogue for an update. Actual Results: After the update & browser restart, only one window is opened, showing a firefox release notes page. Expected Results: The browser session, i.e. all windows and tabs as they were before the restart, should be restored, maybe the release notes page opened additionally. (Essentially the same as the SessionSaver extension does)
This is fixed in Firefox 2 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 311744 ***
