there are caused more errors continuously until Fx is restarted. Expected Results: After the tab of the page is closed no more errors should by caused at least.
These errors are caused by Apple's per-window Carbon event handlers for its Cocoa-Carbon interface. They only happen on OS X 10.4.X, and then only when you use two-fingered scrolling on a MacBook Pro or the scroll ball on a Mighty Mouse. As far as I can tell they're completely benign -- they don't cause any trouble by themselves, and don't indicate any other (more serious) problems. These event handlers are loaded per-window, and once they're loaded they can't be unloaded. So once you load at least one Java applet into a window, you'll keep seeing those errors while that window has the focus, even after all applets in the window have been destroyed. (The Java Embedding Plugin needs these event handlers (and the other parts of Apple's (very buggy) Cocoa-Carbon interface) in order to load Cocoa-based applets (applets that use Apple's Cocoa-based JVMs) into the windows of a Carbon-based browser (e.g. Firefox and Seamonkey). I've just released a new version of the JEP (0.9.6) that resolves this problem. See bug 364158. Please try it out. I didn't target this bug directly. Instead I unexpectly found a way to avoid using the buggy event handlers (Apple's) that cause this error to be displayed (see comment #1).
