Even though Thunderbird sometimes shows "imap://xxxx" urls, they don't seem to be exposed.
I would like that dragging out an email into, say, a todo list, drags it as a URL for which the responding application is Thunderbird... and "opening this URL" would mean opening this email.

In an era where email is flooding... such a feature is fundamental as it allows to use external organizational tools for your mail while still using the "pile way" of mails in the email application.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click an email in the mailbox view, drag it out
2. Drop it in a text editor, in OmniOutliner, in Ical's todo list, in Ical's calendar view, in the desktop... any of these should drop a link
3. clicking this link should get back to the message in thunderbird.

Actual Results:
The current mail entries seem to be non droppable outside thunderbird.

Bug 11076 would have to be fixed first. (If you don't consider it a duplicate.)
I'm leaning towards a duplicate, or else this would be an enhancement. I welcome more thoughts.
