I can`t use firefox, since about 1.0.6; first 10-30 seconds the download manager tries to place the file to A:

All versions and profiles and downloading sites are affected. After that it places the file to the "save as" location on HD I have ordered. Mozilla download manager has played fine all this time. That makes no difference if I installs to a new folder uninstalling before or after the older version. No help gives the deleting the folder of the old build or the creating a new profile. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Simply one begins to download! 2. 3. Actual Results: The same behavior. Expected Results: Pass the A: and at once to begin to place the file to the correct location as Mozilla does. (The PC is clean: Antivirus, eScan, GWShredder, Panda onlinescan etc. finds nothing!)
You need to clear the download history to correct this. The problem is that at one time you had previously downloaded a file to the A: drive and have never removed that entry from the download history. Each time the download window is opened, Firefox tries to determine if any files in the download history have subsequently been deleted and will remove the associated download entry if that is the case. Unfortunately since you now do not have a floppy in the A: drive, this kind of fails.

I never tries to download to drive A:! This is firefox behavior. No matter if I have a floppy on A: or not, the same behavior takes place.
