353671 - Use of NRK news feed in Firefox for nb-NO and nn-NO

We'd like to use the NRK news feed for Firefox 2.0 for both nb-NO and nn-NO:
  http://www.nrk.no/nyheiter/toppsaker.rss

The feed is only presented in nb-NO language, but should also be feasible for nn-NO users (as NRK is a state-run company, they are obliged by law to have a certain percentage of their information (web site) in nn-NO language).

Approval to use the feed was given for the nb-NO 1.5 release. However, that may have been under the assumption of the naming of the rss-bookmark would be named "NRK Nyheter". This is now changed to "Siste nyheter" (latest news) in accordance with Mozilla's new redirect policy.

Should I go ahead to ask for permission, or will you do that? Contact e-mail for the feed owners is [e-mail]

Sorry for letting this lingering around for a while, we're fine with keeping the 1.5 feeds in general, nevertheless, we'd like to get their permission and contact.

Could you write them an email, we'd favourably get an answer on English, and forward that answer to Mic?

Thanks for bringing this up. Let it be noted that the lack of progress on this issue was entirely my bad ;-)

I contacted NRK a few days ago regarding news feed usage for nn-NO and nb-NO. E-mail and translation is forwarded to Mic.

For reference, here is the essential parts of the reply from NRK's "Market- and communications department" (translated from norwegian):

We distinguish between commercial and "ideal" use of our services. Non-commercial use is in most cases perfectly okay, but if you have commercial incomes from your service, I must ask you to contact [...] NRK Aktivum [[which is a commercial branch organization of NRK]], in order to get an agreement about our content.

Could you in due time bring the nn-NO redirect up also? Same target address as nb-NO. Need that to close this bug.
