Bizarrely, Firefox isn't able to go to Adobe's web site (adobe.com) under Vista.
When this happened under Vista build 5600, I assumed I was insane.
Since this also happens with Vista 5728, and I have no problems going to adobe.com with IE, I have to assume that this is a Firefox problem.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Vista
2. Install Firefox 2 rc1
3. Try to go to adobe.com
Actual Results:
Firefox attempts to load the page forever (or at least for a half hour).
Expected Results:
Firefox loads adobe.com pages lightnin'-fast.

I work at Adobe and have never seen this problem. Have you reported it to anyone at Adobe?

steven, nothing has been reported by us. Do you know who we might talk to at adobe to see if this can be reproduced?

For the problem loading adobe.com, I'd suggest starting with Alyn Kelley <akelley@adobe.com>... not sure if she's the right person but she can probably direct you at the right person.
For being unable to install Flash, start with Ed Costello <ecostell@adobe.com>, the engineering manager for Flash Player. (But note: if the unable-to-install-Flash problem is on a 64-bit Vista+Firefox build, this is probably expected behavior, as Adobe hasn't released a 64-bit plugin for any OS or platform yet.)
Per my original report, this issue isn't Flash related. Problems installing Flash is a direct side-effect of not being able to access adobe.com with Firefox on Vista.
As the original reporter, it seems reasonable to close this since it's working for me as I write this. However, I see that someone else reported the same problem just a couple days ago.
I have the same problem with firefox and adobe website. I''m running Vista Business Build 6000.
There is no solution for this problem?
