Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/20060821 Firefox/2.0b2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/20060821 Firefox/2.0b2

When you select a TAB with your mouse you can drag it to move it around within the TAB bar. You should be allowed to hold down the CTRL button and drag a TAB browser window into a blank spot along the TAB bar and create a new TAB browser window with the identical content as the original. (Basically allow copying and pasting of TABS)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select a TAB
2.Press CTRL button while dragging it to a new location along the TAB bar.
3.

Actual Results:
No new tab is created. Nothing happens

Expected Results:
Should have created a new TABBED browser window with the same content as the original window.

Other bug reports have talked about copying TABS but they have been different in there specific requests. the closest I have seen is Bug report number 246073

An extension is available for functionality like this, here https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/28/. It doesn't necessarily say it will allow you to CTRL-drag & drop tabs to achieve this effect, but it definitely allows you to duplicate tabs. IMO, this way is even better, because you don't need to have empty spaces in the tab bar, or even need to have the tab bar shown to achieve the effect. :) As for this bug, I nominate it WONTFIX.
