Not a new theme regression, it was glaring white in 1.5, and probably 1.0 too.
No longer blocks: NewTheme

Duping forward to Vlad's oddly-placed bug, since he points at exactly what's at fault and where, and that way I won't have to copy-paste his whole comment...
