355525 - Microsummaries should update when manually visiting the site

Imagine this scenario. You have a microsummary that displays (for example) the latest bid from an eBay auction. The microsummary update interval is the firefox default of 30 minutes.

at 12:00 the microsummary updates itself to show the latest bid is $100
at 12:10 a new bid is placed for $120
at 12:20 you visit the auction in question by clicking the microsummary

When you visit the auction in question, the microsummary will still read '$100' even tho you have just visited the site, and can see the current bid is '$120'

at 12:30 the microsummary will update itself to read '$120'.

I think if you choose to manually visit a site, and it is part of a microsummary, then the microsummary should be immediately updated so it doesn't appear to display contradictory information.

Yes, good point.  The microsummary should indeed update when you load its page so it displays the same information as the page itself.

Kind of kludgy, and doesn't listen to windows that already exist when MSS is initiated.  Still, it works.

Wontfixing all Microsummaries bugs, since the feature has been removed from the core product and previous versions won't get further fixes for it.
If interested in supporting Microsummaries in your add-on, you're free to use our old microsummaries code and to search all previously open bugs by looking for [microsummaries-feature-removal] in the status whiteboard field.
