With "check spelling before send" set the spell chacker - English UK - finds the HTML control strings which do not show on the screen and reports them as spelling errors
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.set check spelling before send
2.compose email
3.send it
Actual Results:
spelling error that do not show on screen
Expected Results:
html code spell checked
Onlt message text should be spell checked

Is this a dupe of bug 222747?
If not, could you provide a sample message that exhibits the problem? From the compose window, Save As | File; then attach the resulting HTML file to this bug using the Create New Attachment link above.
This is a composed message that does not make it through the spell checker

Yes, this is a dupe. All those errors are from within the <style> tag.
The workaround in your case is to remove that MS Word cruft from the signature file.
