Firefox 2 was meant to include the RSS preview functionality of
the Feedview extension. However, RSS feeds that include any usage
of a CSS file do not show any effect of CSS on the online XML
file, whereas it *does* work for locally store XML and CSS files
(where the "subscribe to this feed" header will not show up).
Apparently something is broken in the "subscribe to this feed"
rendering section. Feedview does apply any included CSS in XML,
both online and locally. Obviously the feed preview should also
apply any included CSS files.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an example.css with for instance a fixed font
2. Use <?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" href="example.css"?> in RSS feed
3. Put online (problem does not occur with local files!)
Actual Results:
No effect of example.css
Expected Results:
Different font or whatever is specified in example.css
The online RSS feed preview should have applied CSS just like
a local preview does. (The Feedview extension for Firefox 1.5
does this all properly.)
