User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060911 Camino/1.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060911 Camino/1.0.3
It is very difficult to fill in forms, because the text appears 3 inches to the right and 2 inches down from where it should be. Resizing seems to fix it momentarily.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click in a field
2.Type some text
Actual Results:
.The text appears in a different place from where you clicked.
Expected Results:
The text appears where you typed.
It is very difficult to fill in this form with Camino.
Are you on 10.3 or 10.4? If the latter, this is bug 288047.

I don't know that this is the font bug; I've been seeing this too. It only happens when typing in text inputs/textareas; it doesn't affect body text. Words don't bleed into each other or over boundaries; rather, the whole text block is offset.

Wasn't there a bug with text offset that was dependent on having F4M content or something like that in another tab?

There was/is, but I *think* I've seen this happen even without. Hopefully I'm not remembering wrong; I'll comment again when I see it again.
Oh, yeah: bug 351410 was like this. Good catch, Stuart.
Ken, do you have any Windows Media content open when you see this (or have you had Windows Media content in any tabs/windows)?
If so, this is bug 343499.

I am running on MacOS 10.4.8.
This bug is not the same bug as font bug #288047. That bug is pretty subtle. This bug is grossly wrong -- likee I said -- several inches -- 8 cm.
As a matter of fact, I DID haev Flip4Mac / Windows media content open. I was trying to listen [unsuccessfully] to the new Live From the Archives music clips at kfog.com.
The artifacts are more gross than any of the other screen shots I've seen. I will attach mine in the next comment.
I just saw the scroller bar mis-rendered, too, on
http://www.kfog.com/music/lfta13/default.asp
after clicking on "Heaven", waiting a minute while nothing happened, then clicking the "back" button. Unfortunately, this scroller bug does not seem to be reproducable.
Clicking in Listen > Listen to KFOG with Flip4Mac installed but not Windows Media Player installed does not seem to elicit this artifact.
After I installed Windows Media Player, the problems started again (this is a different machine from the one on which it was originally reported). Again -- Flip4Mac alone does not cause the problem. Flip4Mac plut Windows Media Player does cause the problem. I have not tested Windows Media Player without Flip4Mac.
With only Flip4Mac installed, I was not able to listen to the KFOG broadcast.
When I closed the window with the embedded Windows Media Player content, the problems went away.
I would conclude that there is some interaction between Windows Media Player and Camino. I have seen other problems with Windows Media Player video in Safari as well.
WMP is no longer supported (by either Camino or Microsoft).
