Voting is in need of some serious changes. Right now votes are a limited resource and need to be managed by the user. It's painful to vote. (multiple screens, vote management etc.) I propose that the voting concepts get changed to be a relative desire level. This allows things like "voting against" a but, and an overall good feel about voting. Also just because the most active voters are voting for something making the count go to 21, for example, doesn't really weigh well against other bugs. It would be much better to know that it has a 5 bug rating, or 4 bug rating, etc. Things that need to change. 1. Have a voting bar (like Netflix starbar) and use ajax to set the vote 2. Users can vote on all of the bugs (no limited resource of votes) 3. Don't show who's voted for a bug 4. Show an overall percent of approval for a bug (probably graphically with the "starbar") and it could be in the columns. This way we can see that bugs can be compared against one another more easily.
Dupe or blocker of bug 304064.
(In reply to comment #1) > Dupe or blocker of bug 304064. No, the whole point is that voting is a complication rather than something easy. Bug 304064 will make things more complicated. It's true though, that this could be a meta bug. This is about making it very simple to vote and to not need to manage votes.
