In Thunderbird 1.5 and previous versions, messages could be tagged with one of the five "labels" by selecting the message in the main window and pressing the 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 key on the keyboard, and the 0 key to remove all tags.  With the new Thunderbird 2.0 alpha 1 and its new "tags" system, it is no longer possible to use these keyboard shortcuts to tag messages.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a message in the main window.
2. Press 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
Actual Results:  
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:  
The message should be tagged.

Perhaps there should be a UI to assign the numbers 1-9 to tags, so that those tags can be quickly accessed.
