Message preview text of quoted printable encoded messages do not get decoded, so the new mail notification just displays garbage. Unfortunately Outlook seems to default to quoted printable, so a very large part of my work mail show this problem. STR: 1) Under composition > general check the use quoted printable option 2) Send yourself a message, putting "Gott nytt år!!" in the body
This is basically a dupe of bug 346873, isn't it?
