This is different than Bug 364593 User reports on irc that they get Error Messages like (for 2.0.0.1): Error opening file for writing: \r\n\r\nfirefox.exe\r\n\r\nClick Retry to try again, or \r\nCancel to stop the installation and for 1509 Update: error opening to write file n\n\nnspr4.dll and on reboot: procedure entry point ?ListernerDied@nsCategoryObserver@@QAEXXZ could not be located in dynamic link library xpcom_core.dll Users are running as Admin.
Some windows users have found that they cannot delete firefox.exe as it's "in use" upon attempting to uninstall or delete the install folder before re-installing. As mentioned in http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2658892#2658892 this could well be a sign they are infected with the Poison Ivy trojan. It's worth the time for someone with this problem to read http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox.exe_always_open#Confirming_the_presence_of_malware

If so, please file something in Toolkit::NSIS Installer. > and for 1509 Update: > > error opening to write file n\n\nnspr4.dll > > and on reboot: procedure entry point ?ListernerDied@nsCategoryObserver@@QAEXXZ > could not be located in dynamic link library xpcom_core.dll > > Users are running as Admin. I don't think the updater complains about individual files.

From Mozilla Feedback: 1.Installation stalls & get message: error \r\n\r\ncomponents....string 2. Then when restarting Firefox 2.0.0.1 get error message: Software Update Failed - One or more files could not be updated.... 3. Tried Downloading 2.0.0.1 from the Download page again. Same problem. 4. Firefox runs, I can use it with no apparent problems but each time it loads, the Software Update Failed Message appears.
